LIMA
LIMA, or Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive, dog training is a training strategy that includes effective, humane tactics most likely to achieve a training objective or behavioral change.
Reward-Based
Del Dog uses reward-based training methods to achieve training goals. This method is essentially a combination of positive reinforcement and balanced methods. It has been successful for over 35 years!
Real World
When we work with your dog, we work inside of the home, AND outside of the home in public settings. It’s so important to practice your training in situations filled with distractions and potential triggers, when you dog is ready to handle it!
Puppy Training in Delaware
Starting early is one of the best investments you can make in your dog’s future. Our Delaware puppy training program will focus on structure, communication, and foundation obedience while preventing common long-term behavior problems. We help Delaware puppy owners with potty training and crate training, nipping and biting, name recognition and engagement, leash walking, confidence building and social exposure, basic obedience commands and calm behavior around people and dogs.
Aggressive Dog Training Programs
Many dog owners contact Del Dog Training after trying multiple trainers, videos, or classes without success. We specialize in aggressive dog trainingand difficult dog cases, including: dog reactivity, human aggression, resource guarding, fearful and anxious behavior, separation anxiety, extreme pulling and loss of control.
Separation Anxiety
Do you have dog who gets anxious and stressed when crated, or when you leave the house? Separation anxiety is very complex, but very correctable with the right training methods.
